Cogneo Lab is a research group at The Institute focused on human and artificial intelligence, combining brain science, next‑generation AI, AR/VR, and knowledge engineering to create applications in health, medicine, and information technology.

We study how the brain and mind work across the lifespan and in disease, with a focus on brain health, aging, and recovery.
Next-Generation, Brain-Inspired AI and Systems
We design new AI models and architectures inspired by biological systems, aiming for energy‑efficient, local, and adaptable intelligent systems.
Applied Intelligence in Health, Learning, and Knowledge
We build and test AI‑driven applications for health, biomedical research, education, and knowledge‑intensive work.
